Viking Leg Protection - M/L
Made from 1mm/19 gauge thick mild steelRolled edges with no sharp edgesStraps and fittings made from top-grain leatherHand made, welded pieces for maximum durabilityEpic Armoury Dark oxidization resistant coating Epic Armoury Dark products are specially treated to resist rust, but should still be treated with oil and kept in dry storage. All our metal armours contain leather parts that need regular maintenance using leather-care products to keep the leather from drying out. CleaningIf your armour does get wet, it is important that you dry it thoroughly as soon as possible. After handling, wearing, or after six months of storage or display, all metal should be wiped with a clean cloth. Lightly oil the clean surface with a quality machine or mineral oil. Alternatively, you can apply a coating of wax to the entire surface of exposed metal. Allow the wax to dry for a couple of hours and then buff it lightly with a soft cloth. Rust-Prevention and RemovalStore your armour is a dry place and check it every couple of months for signs of rust. If any is found, remove it by gently rubbing the affected spot with a mildly abrasive pad dipped in paste wax, oil, or water-displacing liquid. Leather Straps and Fittings Clean by removing dirt with a hard brush, then gently rub on leather soap with a clean, damp cloth until the leather appears clean. Remove soap with a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue and then use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather. You should always condition leather after cleaning, since the soap will have removed some of its natural oils. Treat the leather with mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax polish with a clean cloth, gently rubbing a small amount of oil or polish in circles into the leather. Allow the leather to soak in the oil before wiping the leather with a final clean cloth to remove any excess residue.Steel 1mm

RFB Arm & Leg Protection - In one Box
Someone might say that you are a cruel person. The truth is that you aren't cruel--but you certainly aren't a hero, either. The Battle of Delle is not one for your homeland or for your own people, but the pay is good and the fighting even better.Unlike popular belief, arm protection was only called a "bracer" if it was meant to protect the forearm of an archer. Actual forearm protection like this would have been called a "vambrace" or "forearm guard."Plate armor became more popular as firearm technology became more prevalent during the 13th century. Late Medieval Knightly Steel Greaves
Most people think that medieval greaves were only used in the late Medieval period by the time knights started to wear full plate armour. But actually, we do have proof that they were used by medieval men at arms as early as 1245-1250. In the Maciejowski Bible (Pierpont Morgan Library, New York, Ms M. 638) the giant Goliath is shown using them! Initially, those greaves were protecting only the front of the lower legs, reinforcing this vulnerable area so often attacked when the knights were charging infantry. With time fully enclosed greaves became available but the good old half-greaves were far too convenient and versatile to be abandoned and kept being used side by side with the newer forms. Its nice historically accurate anatomical shape allows for an optimal fit and an authentic look. Handmade from sturdy 16-gauge MILD STEEL, fully functional for the battlefield. Comes with sturdy steel buckles and genuine leather straps. These are 39cm long, 11.5cm wide from the top and 9.7cm wide from the bottom. This pair is ideal for historical reenactment, medieval fairs, and all knightly or infantry costumes from late medieval Europe.
