Cape/Cloak with Chain Fastening

Liripipe with Fur Trim
The Fur Hood has a long tail and short mantle covering the shoulders. It covers the sides and top of the head and can be made to cover parts of the face as well, while the mantle overlays the shoulders to just beyond the joints and to cover the chest and back to the upper ribs. Â The hood is made from felted, green wool with light green embroidery and fitted with grey-green fur around the face and at the rim of the mantle, while the inside is lined with soft, comfortable cotton. Â It is adjustable with flat split-leather cords at a the throat allowing the wearer to adjust the fit and openness of the hood. Hoods are often associated with the medieval period, where they were a common garment worn by all social classes in a huge variety of forms and shapes, but have been in use since ancient times. Capes and cloaks for LARP & Co
If you've ever sat around a campfire in the evening, you know what it's like: the fire warms you in the front, but the cold is a real pain in the back. This was the case in the Middle Ages and it is still the case today. Unless, of course, you have equipped yourself for the LARP with a cape or even a hooded cape from the mail-order company LARP-Fashion.co.uk. Already in summer such a cape is quite advantageous, it protects you from direct sunlight during the day.
In the evening or at night it keeps you nice and warm. From hooded capes made of cotton to short or long capes made of wool, you will find them at LARP-Fashion.co.uk. For the colder medieval days: capes made of wool
Whether medieval or modern, from late autumn onwards it is advisable to have a cape with you at all times, as an addition to your normal clothing. The medieval woollen cloak with the wolf head clasp is a good choice, as it covers the body from head to toe in its normal length. If you are a Viking in the north and like things a bit cosier, you can opt for a fur-trimmed medieval woollen cloak, which has a sort of fake fur cape. This will keep your shoulders warm.
You see, Vikings, knights, priests and all the peasants of the Middle Ages knew all about the cold. They equipped themselves with medieval clothing, or garb, that still serves well today. And if you don't want to wear a cloak, gown or cape in your spare time, they're perfect for medieval LARP.

Medieval capes and cloaks are as much a part of LARP as the shield to the sword or the dragon boat to the Viking. The classic and bestseller, the medieval cotton cape, is part of the basic equipment of many LARP fans.
